Abstract
ABSTRACT DESIGN OF DATA MINING TO DETERMINE IIB DARMAJAYA SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH WEB-BASED USING K-MEANS CLUSTER METHOD By: Muhamad Ilham Shafari 1511010128 IIB Darmajaya is a higher education that annually provides scholarships to students. The type of scholarship is the cost of improving academic achievement by the determined regulations from the Head of Student Affairs in IIB Darmajaya. However, the institution acquires difficulties in determining the scholarship recipients because the process was still one per one at a time. It will be accumulated by increasing the students every year. Design the scholarship selection application using the K-Means method was to help the scholarship selection process and determine the eligibility scholarship candidate using the kmeans cluster method. So, the results of the selection were able to be used as a reference to determine the selection of prospective scholarship recipients. Using data mining for scholarship acceptance to conduct the selection was able to be conducted by the system and produce the students who are entitled to receive scholarships. Data mining helped the process of receiving scholarships and eased for users to determine the acceptance of scholarships. Keywords: IIB Darmajaya, Scholarship, K-Means Cluster
