Abstract

Grain storage in Indonesia is still often affected by problems, such as warehouse pests, rat disturbance and also problems during high rainfall which can cause the temperature in the grain storage room to decrease so that it can cause humidity and in the end the stored grain will be damaged blackened due to exposure. fungus and also when the sun's temperature is too hot it can cause the grain in the storage room to be damaged or easily destroyed so that it can reduce the quality of the grain. This study aims to design a humidity monitoring system for grain storage rooms using the DHT11 sensor which functions as a temperature and humidity detector while the lamp is to raise the temperature in the grain storage room, the fan is used for air circulation and even out the hot air in the room. Setra uses Arduino Uno as a system processor. The grain storage room prototype works automatically in controlling the temperature and humidity in the grain storage room. The system works at a temperature of 28⁰C - 38⁰C where the lights will turn on and heat up the room and will turn off when the temperature is 38⁰C. Temperature and humidity data will be displayed on the LCD. Keywords: storage space, humidity, design
