Abstract
Improving security systems on motorcycles are very necessary, to reduce the risk of theft by irresponsible people, research on motorcycle security systems has often been carried out, but still has some weaknesses such as location accuracy, data transmission is still done manually via SMS, and systems that are not connected to the internet. This study applies the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) in creating a security system consisting of 4 components, namely an ESP32 as a controller, a SIM800L GSM/GPRS module that functions to send and receive data from the Blynk server, a GPS module U-blox NEO6M V2 which provides information on the location of motorcycles, and a relay module that is used to control the electrical system of motorcycle, from the results of research conducted using the Euclidean distance calculation method to compare the coordinates of the GPS module readings with the GPS sensor readings on the Smartphone, it can be concluded that the security system can run properly and produces the average error distance of 2.0 meters.
