Abstract
ABSTRACT CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) GAS FILTERIZATION SYSTEM IN CIGARETTE SMOKE FILTER AND VAPE BASED ON MICROCONTROLLER NODEMCU ESP8266 By Hendro Poernomo Cigarettes are products that contain substances that are addictive (causing addiction), and if consumed can cause harm to the health of individuals and society. As for the facts in cigarettes there are approximately 4000 kinds of chemicals, including nicotine which is addictive and tar which is carcinogenic and can cause diseases such as cancer, heart disease, impotence, blood disease, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pregnancy disorders and fetus and many others. Recently, an alternative cigarette product has emerged which is "claimed" to have the same function and taste as cigarettes, but does not cause the adverse effects caused by filter cigarettes. E-cigarettes themselves can be harmful to health because in e-cigarettes there are harmful substances that can cause heart and blood vessel disorders and can cause cancer. In addition, the inhaled aroma can cause a fairly rare disease, namely bronchiolitis obliterans where the smallest airways become damaged. So the researchers made a Carbon Monoxide (CO) Gas Filtering System for Cigarette Smoke Filters and Vapes Based on the Nodemcu ESP8266 Microcontroller. The working system of this filter is if you use 2 MQ2 sensors so that if one of the MQ2 sensors detects smoke, the relay will actively turn on the fan/fan and mist vapor as a smoke remover in the room. From the test results of the whole system, it can be seen that if the readings of sensor 1 or sensor 2 are <100 then the fan, suction engine and steam engine will be inactive while if the sensor readings are >100 and <150 then the suction engine and steam engine will be active and if sensor readings > 150 then the fan, suction engine and steam engine are active. From the test results, it can be seen if the system created has worked well in accordance with the Arduino program created. Keywords: Filtering, Cigarette Smoke, MQ2 and Arduino
