Abstract
A halal certificate is a written fatwa from the Indonesian Ulema Council (Bahasa: Majelis Ulama Indonesia or MUI) regarding the halal label of a product in accordance with Islamic law. Companies can carry out halal certification of their products through LPPOM MUI. Although they can register online, the registrant cannot know to what extent the product certification process has been running. The product certification process is carried out by telephone with officers or by coming directly to the LPPOM MUI office in Lampung Province. This is certainly not practical if it continues to be implemented, and it will take time for registrants and LPPOM MUI officers in Lampung Province. The algorithm used in this research is sequential search. This research produces an application that can help registrants track halal product certification so that they get the latest information related to the certification process of registered products. Based on the results of trials using black-box testing, shows that the developed application can run well and the information displayed is in accordance with the data processing carried out by LPPOM MUI officers in Lampung Province.
