Abstract
THE DESIGN OF AUTOMATIC GARDEN WATERING SYSTEM BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS ByCindy Imas Pratiwi Sugiono cindypratiwisugiono001@gmail.com Sunflower is a type of ornamental plant that is easy to grow in tropical and temperate climates. Products from sunflowers are the seeds which are used as raw materials for the food industry, namely kwaci and vegetable oil producers. Sunflowers are also used as ornamental plants or handbuckets. Sunflowers live in places where the weather is hot, besides that sunflowers must be watered every day so that the soil moisture becomes stable. The problem that occurred was when watering was not done regularly. This caused the plants to lack sufficient water content and then the sunflowers withered. Then a system was made that was capable of automatic watering. The system was designed using a soil moisture sensor, NodeMCU - ESP32, and a water pump and services from Firebase in the form of a Realtime database to control soil moisture through Android devices. The soil moisture sensor is used to measure soil moisture where the sensor measurement results were processed by NodeMCU which was then stored in the Realtime database service on Firebase and displayed via the Android application, so that users found out soil moisture by turning on the nozzle to wet the soil by pressing a button on the Android application. .
