Abstract
The development of Augmented Reality (AR) technology has brought interesting innovations in various fields, including English traffic signs education for elementary school students. Traffic signs play an important role in regulating and guiding road users in traveling safely and orderly. However, the problem of lack of awareness and understanding of traffic signs still remains a challenge. The purpose of this research was to develop an Android-based AR application with Marker-Based Tracking method to improve students' understanding of English traffic signs. The 3D visualization of traffic signs will help students understand the information better. The research result showed that the Android-based AR application with Marker-Based Tracking method was effective in improving students' understanding of English traffic signs. The students showed high interest and better engagement in learning through AR technology. The use of AR in English traffic signs education for elementary school students has great potential to improve students' understanding and awareness of the importance of traffic regulations. With the integration of AR technology in education, it is hoped that the younger generation can become responsible road users and contribute to safety and order on the roads.
