Abstract
In the digital era, the digitalization of administrative tasks and the monitoring of internship activities has become crucial to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of internship implementation in vocational schools (SMK). This research was conducted at Pelita Pesawaran Vocational School, which had six departments and facilitated internship program for 11th grade students at more than 30 partner institutions. However, the current manual administrative processes led to various issues, such as difficulty in real-time monitoring, the risk of losing physical logbooks, and limited dissemination of internship placement information. Therefore, the research aimed to design and develop a web-based information system using the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology that automated the creation of internship request letters, facilitated monitoring activity through digital logbooks, provided information on partner institutions, as well as enabled digital reporting and assessment. The results showed that the proposed information system reduced the administrative burden on the internship committee, improved transparency in student monitoring, and accelerated the evaluation and reporting processes.
