Abstract

The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the effect of information technology sophistication, management participation, manager's knowledge, training and education, and work experience on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. This study used primary data. The primary data were obtained using a list of questions (questionnaires) given to respondents in hotels in Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted using the descriptive statistics, the classic assumption tests, and the multiple linear regressions with the confidence level of 95%. The result showed that the information technology sophistication affected the effectiveness of accounting information systems, the management participation affected the effectiveness of accounting information systems, the manager's knowledge did not affect the effectiveness of accounting information systems, the training and education affected the effectiveness of accounting information systems, and the work experience affected the effectiveness of accounting information systems.
