Abstract
Received: Revised: Accepted: This research was conducted to find out what was done and the strategies applied, for school-age children in Mulyo Sari Village, Tanjung Sari District in the use of IT (Information Technology) in the face of rapid technological developments. Technology is growing at this time, it cannot be denied that many people use technology as a means of teaching and learning, connecting trade relations and other things that cover all human activities themselves, both individually and in groups. In the implementation of service activities, there are several methods used to optimize the use of IT for schoolage children, namely: Making study schedules, making learning modules, carrying out socialization and tutoring and evaluation. Problems that occur because of the lack of understanding of children in the introduction and use of IT at this time, do not know the parts of a laptop or how to operate it. Not only that, even many school-age children are now addicted to gadgets because of the lack of education about Healthy IT patterns. So that it has not been able to optimize the use of gadgets, even though this IT development has a positive impact as well. However, because of this misuse, it has a negative impact, such as lack of interaction between friends, lack of intention to learn in children, and disturbing the health of children. For this reason, it is hoped that this service can provide understanding, knowledge about the use of IT which is growing rapidly at this time. This service went well and had a good impact, 10% of the number of school-age children who participated in this service knew and could type using a laptop. Now 95% of school-age children understand the parts and how to operate a laptop, not only that, but also increasing knowledge about Healthy IT patterns.
