Abstract
ABSTRACT THE DESIGN OF ILLUSTRATION OF 'SAI BUMI RUWA JURAI' THROUGH ART BOOK MEDIA AS INFORMATION ON LAMPUNG CULTURE By: ARIF RAHMAN HAKIM KHAN SUSETYO arhks911@gmail.com The design of the Art book titled "Sai Bumi Ruwa Jurai" aims to provide a source of information on Lampung culture by integrating artistic elements such as illustration, typography, and modern design. This project seeks to reach a broader audience, especially the younger generation. An interview with Pulung Swandaru, an artist and expert in Lampung culture born on April 22, 2024, offers valuable insights into traditional weapons, Lampung script, and traditional clothing (Sai Batin and Pepadun). The design process involves consultation with local experts, observations at museums, and the distribution of questionnaires to ensure the accuracy of the information presented. The illustrations created using graphic design technology and digital art are not only visually appealing but also serve as an effective medium to introduce and promote Lampung culture to a wider audience. Emphasizing local cultural values, this project aims to encourage the younger generation to engage in preserving their cultural identity amidst the rapidly accelerating modernization. Overall, the Art book titled "Sai Bumi Ruwa Jurai" is committed to fostering pride in cultural heritage, ensuring that Lampung traditions remain alive and relevant for the future.
