Abstract

STUDENT ACTIVITY UNIT SELECTION RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM USING ID3 METHOD AND SME ACTIVITY MONITORING (Case Study: IIB Darmajaya) By Septi Lia Wulandari 1811010175 The Student Activity Unit (UKM) is a forum for planning, implementing and developing extracurricular activities within the IIB Darmajaya environment which are in the form of fostering faith and piety, reasoning and scientific knowledge, student welfare, interests and talents. New students of IIB Darmajaya often feel confused about which unit of student activity is right for their interests and talents. This study aims to create a decision support system in the selection of Student Activity Units (UKM) using the Iterative Dichotomiser Tree Algorithm (ID3) method. There are 4 criteria used, namely Interest, Talent, Hobby, Experience. The training data used in this study were 34 data. The results of the research using the ID3 method can be seen that the main root in determining the selection of SMEs is talent by obtaining a gain value of 1.89742 and the ID3 algorithm accuracy test on the application shows a figure of 91.18% which is in accordance with the interests and talents of students, the accuracy value is not fit is 8.82%.
